Rosanne Barr graduated with First Class Honours in 2003 from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee and in the same year exhibited in the British Design Centre, at New Designers 2003. The following year at The Mall Galleries in London, she was one of two young Scots featured by The Society of Designer Craftsmen for 2004 and was awarded a Licentiate of Distinction. Rosanne's paintings are of a generic landscape. They look to arouse a sense of escape, which is serene, moving, and can evoke a personal memory of a place the viewer has experienced.

Brian Baxter

Brian is Scottish by birth and a graduate of Oxford University where he received his doctorate in philosophy. He is an award-winning author on environmental philosophy and was an academic at Dundee University for over 30 years. Particularly highly regarded for his watercolours, he also enjoys working in mixed media, pastels, gouache, acrylics and oils. He is well known for his paintings of wildlife and domestic animals, flowers, landscapes and portraits.

George Birrell

George Birrell is a unique literary voice in Scottish contemporary painting. After graduating from Glasgow School of Art in 1971, he spent the last four and a half decades fine-tuning a style that is both lyrical and highly technical, contributing regularly to exhibitions at home and abroad. Rooted in the landscape and buildings of East Scotland, his painting is strongly influenced by the Scottish Colourists and the black and white photography of Ansell Adams, demonstrating a pitch perfect understanding of hue, tone and design.

Francis Boag

Francis Boag's vivid depictions of the rural hinterland and coastline of the North East have made him perhaps one of the best loved contemporary painters working in Scotland. A master of colour and form, his canvases are a beautiful balance between an intellectual interpretation of a landscape and an emotional response to it. Francis graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, in the late sixties and after many years in teaching, now paints full-time near the coastal village of Stonehaven. His work appears in private and public collections the world over.

Kathleen Bremner

Kathleen studied at Grays School of Art and taught until retirement in 1991. Throughout her career she continued to paint and exhibit, developing a free and expressive style. Although her preferred medium is watercolour, she has had much success in recent years in acrylics, painting unique and delicate interpretations of Aberdeen's vibrant city and surrounding landscape.

Stuart Buchanan

Stuart attended Glasgow School of Art in the late ‘80s, pursuing a career in framing and painting after graduation. Whilst living in Glasgow he and his wife set up the Mansfield Park Gallery in the city’s West End, a base from which Stuart also developed a following for his symbolic and thought-provoking canvases. After establishing a successful business, the couple took a life changing decision to move to Catterline south of Stonehaven in 2006. Patricia Cain

Born in Newcastle and raised in the Lake District Patricia\\\'s paintings are a response to her immediate environment and the impact that has on her sense of identity. Increasingly her work reflects the urban environment of Glasgow where she now lives and works. Patricia\\\'s route to artistic practice was a circuitous one, abandoning illustration at St Martins in London to train as a lawyer. Having qualified she worked for eight years before moving to Glasgow and qualifying in Scottish law. In 2004 she began work on an interdisciplinary research PhD at the Glasgow School of Art. Since then she has won innumerable prizes, awards and residencies and has had solo exhibitions at a number of public galleries.

Grace Cameron

Born in 1961 Grace worked at a variety of jobs, including 15 years as a nurse, before turning her attention to art. She studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, Dundee, graduating in 2000 in Fine Art Printmaking. Following graduation she was involved with a number of art projects and workshops with adults and also three years spent working with children with special needs. In 2008 Grace made the decision to paint full time. She now works predominantly in acrylics and is inspired by the Scottish landscape.

Catriona Campbell

Catriona Campbell's artistic education began in infancy, as she puts it "I was taught by a man, who was taught by a man, who was taught by Manet! He was my father Ian Campbell and he taught me to observe". Her instruction continued under David Donaldson at Glasgow School of Art, from whom she acquired a delight in the qualities of paint and "an ambition to make it sing". Since graduation in the late 60's Catriona has delighted many with her paintings of people and animals and the way they interact. "I like the shapes and colours they make and the way they behave with one another. I like the spaces in between them and the possibilities of what might happen in those negative spaces. So I paint them."

Lois Carson

Lois Carson has always been a \\\'maker of things\\\'. Her previous careers include clothes designer and luxury cake decorator, which she combined with raising a family overseas. But it is in sculpture that Lois has finally found her calling. After completing a BA and Masters in Sculpture at Grays School of Art in 2003, Lois is now pushing the boundaries of her artform. Working in the experimental field of acrylic and resin sculpture she combines synthetic elements with forms from the natural world.

Pam Carter

Shortly after graduation from Glasgow School of Art, Tanzanian born artist Pam Carter travelled to the Seychelles to teach, it didn’t take long before she realised the direction her painting was going to take. Excited by the vibrant hues of blues and greens of the Indian Ocean, Pam knew that from now on her paintings would express the relationship between colour and light. Since then she has lived and worked in Scotland drawing on the isolated beauty of its outer islands for inspiration.

Sam Cartman

Sam Cartman lives and works in Dumfries & Galloway. Originally from Shropshire, he completed a Fine Art Degree in Carlisle before moving to Glasgow for eight years. His paintings are a response to being in the landscape: they are shaped by the experience of being in a certain place at a certain time and the memory of this. These experiences are the basis for his involvement with the paint, and from then on, his interaction with the paint takes over. The process allows him to show in painting, something of the place he is in or has been in. Malcolm Cheape graduated form Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee in 1987 and he has worked widely as a full-time artist in Scotland and London ever since. His subject matter is drawn almost exclusively from the sea and his work heavily supported by research. His distinctive style combines paint, ink, pencil marks, paper and tape to create detailed, multi-layered pieces that are held in many private and public collections at home and overseas.

Emma S Davis

Born into a family of artists in Paisley in 1975, Emma studied Fine Art Drawing & Painting at The Glasgow School of Art and graduated in 1998 with a BA (Hons). She exhibited in galleries throughout Scotland during her studies, which concluded in a sell-out degree show.Emma was the youngest ever recipient of the Alexander Graham Munro Travel Award at the RSW Annual Exhibition in 1999, which allowed her to travel and paint extensively in Italy the following year.She was elected an artist member of the RSW in November 2001. Since then, she has won several prestigious awards and has exhibited at several group and solo exhibitions throughout the UK.

Lisette Degioanni

Lisette graduated in 2007 with a BA (Hons) Fine Art from Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen. She originally studied history of art at Kingston University, London and trained as a ceramic artist before raising her family. It was her return to full-time education at Gray’s which enabled her to explore through her work the constraints women often face not being able to do what they want in life, not being able to put themselves first and being caught up in the ‘machinery of life’. Since studying at Gray’s Lisette has won the prestigious David Gordon Memorial Trust Award from the Royal Scottish Academy (RSA),s as well as being awarded the John Kinross Scholarship (also by the RSA) which enabled her to travel to Florence to experience the city’s classical art and architecture. Lisette lives and works in Banchory, Kincardineshire.

Peter Dworok

Peter Dworok was born in Nottingham and studied art firstly at Nottingham College of Art and Design and then at Leeds Polytechnic Faculty of Art and Design. After leaving college Peter lived and worked on the Isle of Skye and later Edinburgh where he exhibited his work widely. On moving back to Nottinghamshire, Peter was employed by Nottinghamshire County Council helping to establish Rufford Craft Centre as a centre for excellence in the applied arts. Over twenty five years later, Peter retired from his role at Rufford and now concentrates on his own painting practice in the beautiful Minster town of Southwell.

Margaret Evans

A graduate of Glasgow School of Art in 1974, Margaret combines teaching and painting in her career, travelling extensively throughout America and Europe. Her experiences abroad are reflected in her Scottish landscapes, as she says "Painting is not about copying but exaggerating it's line, composition and colours. My teaching takes me all over the world, which has broadened my perspective on landscapes, but also makes me appreciate my own country and what scope Scotland has to offer in subject matter for artists." Renowned for her pastel painting, Margaret is a member of the Portrait Society of America, featuring regularly in the International Artist magazine.

Peter Goodfellow

Born in Middlesbrough Peter attended grammar school before completing a foundation course at Middlesbrough College of Art. He went on to study at the Central School of Art, London from 1968-71. His work is represented in galleries across Scotland and the UK and has been exhibited in Ireland and Germany as well. His self portrait 'All Dressed up for Mam and Dad' has been exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery in London and at the National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh. He now lives and works in Strathdon in Aberdeenshire where he runs The Lost Gallery with his wife Jean.

Alan Hayman is a self taught artist born and reared in Montrose, Angus. He drew continuously throughout his life. Steven Higginson

Steven was born in Dumfries, Scotland, in 1982. Growing up, Steven often sketched the iconic images from album covers and music books and these influences have stayed with him and can be seen in the use of pop photography in his contemporary still lifes. Having won various national competitions and prizes for his work, Steven followed his inevitable path in art, choosing to study at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee in part due to the art school's traditional approach to teaching painting. He was awarded The Aiden Threlfall Traveling Scholarship from the Goldsmith's Company in London in 2004, the year he graduated. He used the scholarship to spend time in Paris, Venice, Rome and Madrid studying works of the old masters, namely Velazquez, Caravaggio and Manet. This trip proved very influential as these artists' chiaroscuro style can still be seen in his work today. He has been painting full-time since 2005, and has had work accepted at the RGI and Aberdeen Artists Society annual shows.

Jonathan Hood

Born 1957 in Edinburgh, Jonathan was educated in Fife and Angus and attended Duncan of Jordanstone College of Arts from 1976 to 1979 going on to study drawing at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, Paris in 1979. He became a full-time artist in 1989 and has exhibited widely throughout Scotland including the Aberdeen Artists\\\' Society and Royal Scottish Academy. His work is held in private collections throughout the world.

Catherine Imhof-Cardinal

Catherine Imhof-Cardinal is a Swiss-French artist living near Aberdeen in Scotland. She began her career in Aix-en-Provence. Catherine\'s work is informed by a strongly developed sense of colour, often in daring and unusual composition of a figurative or semi-abstract nature. Her approach to composition is without preconception; each work gradually emerges from a series of lines thrown onto the sheet, the subject and composition suggesting themselves through the work process. In this way, impressions gathered on travels and from life in general re-emerge in the paintings, not as factual representations but as images imbued with the feeling of places and events.

Anita Inverarity

Local artist Anita Inverarity trained as a graphic designer at Aberdeen College and it was here with support from her tutors that her apptitude for illustration was recognised and encouraged. Her unique style of intricate pen and ink work developed during this time which she used to illustrate children\\\'s books. Inspiration for her work comes from many sources - the wildlife around Deeside as well as folklore and Scottish fairytales.

Elin Isaksson

Elin's glass making career began in her native Sweden, a country famed for its studio glass tradition. She attended the Orrefors Glass School from 1998-2000 and moved to Scotland in 2001 to study for a BA in Architectural Glass at the Edinburgh College of Art graduating in 2004. She went on to attain a Masters in Design from the College in 2005. She has worked and trained at glass studios in Scotland, Denmark, Sweden, Italy and India and has won many scholarships and awards for her work. In 2009 she set up her own glass studio and gallery drawing inspiration for her work from her travels and the intrigue of the play of light on the colours and textures of nature.Elin is based in Stirling where she creates her glass work and runs glass blowing courses open to the public.

David Johnston

David Johnston is a landscape artist based in the Mearns in the North East of Scotland. A retired teacher, he is a self taught. In 2017 he was elected a member of the Royal Society of Painters in Watercolour. He teaches others to paint hosting workshops and courses.He works almost exclusively in watercolour and, following in a tradition of Scottish landscape painting, he paints on the spot whenever possible. He enjoys working from nature and does this directly in paint, as well as using a sketchbook backed up by digital photography for reference. Using this arsenal he sometimes finishes work in the studio.His work is exhibited widely across the north east of Scotland and further afield in Glasgow and London. It forms part of the collection of the Royal Bank of Scotland and Aberdeenshire Council.

Anna King

"I love to explore empty, feral places: wastelands, abandoned buildings and barren pieces of scrubland. I find myself in no-mans land, unclaimed territory that, for a while anyway, I can have as my own." Since her sell out degree show at Duncan of Jordonstone College of Art, Dundee in 2005, Anna King's unique perspective on decaying structures and landscapes has been seen at various prestigious English and Scottish galleries and in June 2007 she won the inaugural Jolomo Lloyds TSB Scotland Award for landscape painting. Although she lives and works in the Scottish Borders, Anna now travels increasingly throughout Europe, looking for the expanses of cracking concrete that inspire her so much. "Once a hive of human activity, these forgotten places have no purpose left but no rules either and nature is slowly and relentlessly taking the land back."

Lindsey Lavender

Lindsey is a trained architect and for many years painted in her spare time whilst pursuing her professional career. In recent years she has focussed on creating and exhibiting her artwork, whilst continuing her artistic development part-time at Edinburgh College of Art. Lindsey's art encompasses drawing, painting, printing, collage and textiles. Recently painting has been the predominant part of her practice. Through her work, she examines natural and built environments, seeking simple observations that are often overlooked. She is fascinated by and intrigued with the everyday. The work has been described as having a sense of melancholy calm that draws the viewer in. It explores, often through a restricted palette, the juxtaposition of manmade and natural as well as rhythm, and the play of light and shade, often on the seemingly ordinary. Lindsey's first exhibition piece 'Forest Series - Untitled' was awarded the ‘Connell & Connell Prize’ at the SSA Open Exhibition 2013. Lindsey is a member of the SSA (Society of Scottish Artists), VAS (Visual Arts Scotland) and AIR (Artists Interaction and Representation)

Steven lives and works in Glasgow graduating from Glasgow School of Art in 1985. He pursued a career in the music industry before returning to his first love, painting. He was short-listed for the prestigious Aspect Prize in 2011 and his work was exhibited at the Fleming Collection Gallery in London that year. Jennifer Mackenzie

"I enjoy exploring colour and the tactile qualities of paint mainly through still life." Jennifer Mackenzie graduated from Glasgow School of Art in late 1971. Studying under tutors such as David Donaldson and Sandy Goudie her work reflects the Scottish painterly tradition prevalent at the time. Jennifer's rich, exuberant canvases are appreciated throughout Scotland. She took time out from her career to bring up her family and for some years taught at schools in Lanarkshire, Inverness and latterly Sutherland. Alan McGowan

Alan McGowan is an expressive figure painter based in Edinburgh working directly with life models and never photography. His work has been chosen to exhibit at the BP Portrait Award, The Threadneedle Prize for Figurative Art and the Ruth Borchard Self portrait prize, and he was a semi finalist in the SKY Portrait Artist of the Year 2014 . His painting of the figure is as much a celebration of the medium of oil painting as an exploration of the human form. For Alan, painting is like a performance, a process that he likes viewers to be reminded of when they look at his canvases. His work is loaded with expressive brushwork that exhibits a perfect balance of control, technical ability and painterly improvisation.

Lynn McGregor

Lynn McGregor was born in Pittenweem in the East Neuk of Fife, and trained at Edinburgh College of Art. She works between Scotland and Ireland, currently living on the otherwise uninhabited island of Islandmore on Strangford Lough, with her writer husband Michael Faulkner. Their island home is the subject of Michael's 2006 book The Blue Cabin and is a primary source of inspiration for Lynn's work. Lynn was elected to the RSW in 2001. Her semi-abstracted landscapes are show in galleries throughout the UK.

Lesley D McKenzie

Lesley has lived in the Aberdeen area all her life. Originally a graphic designer, she worked in the oil industry until deciding to 'go it alone' in 1996. Since then Lesley has developed an enthusiastic fan base, who love her quirky animal ceramics and joyful animal portraits. Lesley says, "As a child I would often study anatomy books, working out the muscles on any animal compared to the human and could sketch many animals from memory. I still employ this method today. It's a spontaneous way of working that suits my personality."

Phil McLoughlin

Phil McLoughlin was born Phil Barker in Dunfermline in 1946. He worked as a foundry labourer, railway porter and jute millworker and psychiatric nurse between 1964 and 1975. Despite no formal training in art his work was exhibited as part of the Scottish Young Contemporaries in 1968. Around this time he was awarded a prize by the RSA and set up an artists collective in Dundee. In 1978 he gave up art to train as a psychotherapist going on to pursue an academic career. He was awarded a doctorate in Philosophy in 1985 and went on to work in universities in England, Australia, Japan and Ireland as a professor, psychotherapist and author. He returned to painting in 2007 as 'Phil McLoughlin' to much acclaim. He was elected a professional member of the Society of Scottish Artists in 2012.

Janet Melrose

Janet studied at Edinburgh College of Art graduating in 1987 with a BA (Hons) in Drawing and Painting. She received the Andrew Grant Bursary in the same year and continued her studies at the Lorenzo de Medici School of Art, Florence. Following her graduation she continued to paint alongside tutoring part-time in community education. She has painted full time for more than ten years from her studio in Perthshire where she is inspired by the natural world and our impact upon it. She is an elected member of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour and Visual Arts Scotland and, as a multi award winning artist, exhibits widely across Scotland and the UK.

Illona Morrice

Illona was born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1954. Her father was a painter and her mother a potter. She started sculpting in clay at her mother\'s workshop at an early age and exhibited for the first time at the age of 17. On leaving college she opened her own gallery. Illona moved to the UK in 1979 living and working in Moray since 1986, where she continues to work in stoneware and bronze. She says Over the years I\'ve realized I can say more with less. So I strive with a few lines and curves to express a multitude of feelings and to let your imagination fill what I\'ve left space for, to create peaceful sculpture which will continue to grow with you and me.

Ryan Mutter

Born in 1978, Ryan studied at Glasgow School of Art, where he graduated in 2001. Like many artists he began his professional career teaching, but as demand for his work steadily grew he made the decision to paint full time in 2005. He has won several awards, including three consecutive years at the Royal Glasgow Institute, and his work can be found in collections around the world, including Geneva, Zurich, Vancouver, Belgium, Tasmania, Boston, and Utrecht. His inspiration comes from Britain’s industrial heritage, and Glasgow’s historical role as the ship building capital of the world. Through his work Ryan seeks to capture and remind people of how important Glasgow’s huge work force was in the development of the modern world.

Born in 1961 Ian’s earliest memories are of drawing for amusement and then falling in love with colour when he began dabbling with oils as a child. He pursued a career in the IT industry whilst continuing to paint and draw in his spare time. Since 2005 he has been painting professionally exhibiting his work in galleries in Ireland, England and Scotland. Since 2012 he has been working full time as an artist, initially in Glasgow and now from his home and studio in Ayrshire.

Maralyn Reed-Wood

Maralyn's affair with ceramics began at school in Kirkcudbright where the Higher Art class worked with the Lochhead Pottery. She studied art in Essex making pots in a studio converted from an air-raid shelter. After becoming a teacher, Maralyn worked as an Art Therapist in an epilepsy hospital, setting up her own studio simultaneously. At a time when figures were most unacceptable in the art world, she worked against the trend. Her figures were accepted by the Triennialle de la Porcelain, Nyon, Switzerland, the 'porcelain capital' of Europe. This was followed by The International Porcelain Exhibition at the Scottish Gallery and an Arts Council Award. Illness brought her career to an abrupt halt, and she re-invented herself making small ceramic pieces which sold internationally for the next 15 years, winning awards and commendations. She has finally returned to her figurative roots, and her porcelain figures sell in galleries throughout Scotland. She has exhibited with the RSA and The RGI and has been short-listed on four occasions for figurative porcelain awards.

Patricia Shone

Patricia Shone is a potter living on the Isle of Skye specialising in naked raku and fast fire wood firing with some soda. She studied at the Central School of Art, London. Texture and a close connection to the physical land of its origin are important elements of her work. Patricia uses combinations of hand building and throwing with slips, glazes and firing techniques to achieve this. Her work is influenced by the powerful landscape of the Isle of Skye where she has lived for 18 years.

Bronwen Sleigh is a multi-disciplinary artist who takes inspiration from industrial architecture, unused and forgotten urban spaces, and environments at the edge of the city. Born in 1980 and raised in Mid-Wales, Bronwen received her BA from the Glasgow School of Art and MA from the Royal College of Art, where she was selected for a six week exchange to The University of Calgary, Canada. She has also worked for several prestigious arts organisations including the The Royal College of Art, The Royal Academy Schools as a Print Fellow and at Edinburgh Printmakers as their etching technician and collaborating printer. The artist has exhibited widely both in the UK and overseas. Her work is held in numerous collections around the world. Bronwen lives and works in Glasgow.

Joe Smernicki

Originally from Blairgowrie, Perthshire, Joe graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in 1973, having gained a High Commendation in his Post-graduate year and as a student he won a scholarship to attend the Hospitalfield House Summer School in Arbroath in 1971. He worked for many years as a teacher and attained the position of Head of Art at Arbroath Academy. Now retired from teaching, Joe is concentrating on painting from his home and studio in Montrose. The inspiration for my work comes almost exclusively from the coastal and rural environment around my home town of Montrose. The paintings reflect a dual interest. On one hand they are portrayals of a very distinctive and visually rich landscape with its fishing stations, small boats, farm implements and sheds. Equally, the paintings are an exploration of colour, tone, shape and line that are brought together in a carefully balanced composition.

David Smith

Born in 1957, David Smith is a Scottish contemporary landscape artist. The palette and inspiration for his work is taken from the seaboard and landscape of Scotland. Although predominantly a self-taught artist, he has studied at various colleges including the Glasgow Print Studio, Glasgow College of Building and Printing, Glasgow School of Art and Latrobe University, Melbourne, Australia. A past member and president of the Glasgow Group of Artists, he was elected member of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour (RSW) in 2011. He was elected member of RSW council in 2013. Smith has shown at the Royal Glasgow Institute (RGI), Royal Scottish Academy (RSA), Paisley Art Institute (PAI) and RSW annual exhibitions and has won various prestigious awards.

Born and educated in Scotland, Mairi Stewart studied Drawing and Painting at Edinburgh College of Art, graduating in 1977. She obtained a Diploma in Secondary Teaching, continuing to paint and exhibit throughout her teaching career. She is now a professional artist, working from her Edinburgh studio and exhibiting regularly in galleries throughout the UK. Her colourful still life paintings explore the relationship that selected objects have with memory. The work is not a literal portrayal and the essence of the work is simplicity. A flattened perspective and a bold use of colour help to heighten the contemporary vision.

Nerine Tassie

Nerine graduated with a degree in Fine Art from Edinburgh College of Art in 2002. She completed postgraduate studies in teacher training and enjoys a career teaching Art & Design. She lives and works in Fife. Of her work she says Natural spaces and forms provide the basis and inspiration for my work; in particular the textures found within the natural world both land and sea. I experiment with a wide range of materials in order to constantly develop new experiences within each painting so each piece takes on its own developing surface and object quality.

Marion Thomson

Marion Thomson was born in 1958 and studied at Glasgow School of Art from 1976 - 78, and then at Glasgow University where she was awarded an M.A. in History of Fine Art, Drama , Film and Television. From 1981- 99 Marion worked as a Costume Designer in theatre , film and television while continuing to paint. Inspired by the Scottish landscape she says For as long as I can remember, the Outer Hebrides and the western seaboard of Scotland have been a source of inspiration and delight to me. The unique qualities of that landscape - its remoteness, its sense of rugged endurance contrasted with the delicacy of certain shorelines, the physical isolation of the people and their homes - all create a powerful drama that draws me back again and again.”

Jenny Watt-Colbeck

Jenny lives and works in rural Aberdeenshire where she combines parenting with painting. She has a very distinct style which she used to depict what she observes around her.

Ann Wegmuller

Born in Gourock in Scotland, Ann lived in Zurich, Switzerland for over ten years before returning to live in Perthshire. She attended Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee graduating in 1985. She is an elected member of the Royal Society of Painters in Watercolour, the Royal Watercolour Society and Aberdeen Artists Society. She has won many prestigous awards and her work is held in a number of corporate collections as well as private collections worldwide.

Gordon Wilson

Gordon Wilson is one of Scotland’s most exciting contemporary artists. He was born in 1968 and grew up in Glasgow where he is now based. He studied at The Glasgow School of Art and has worked in the art industry for many years as a designer, picture framer and artist. Gordon’s subject matter ranges from quirky portraiture to emotive land and seascapes, his deep love of the west coast of Scotland shines through in his evocative work. Gordon paints from the heart, his expressive oil paintings reflect the ever changing moods of both the countryside and the artist himself. Today his work can be found in both corporate and private collections throughout the world. He exhibits in leading art galleries throughout the UK and has participated in several solo exhibitions and numerous group exhibitions including The Royal Glasgow Institute and The Paisley Arts Institute .

Dawn Wood

Dawn was born in Omagh, Co. Tyrone in 1963 and studied at Queen\'s University, Belfast. She has lived in Dundee since 1986 where she enjoys a career as a lecturer and researcher in microbiology painting in her spare time. Throughout her childhood and adulthood she has painted the scenes around her. Forgoing her interest in art, Dawn trained in science. She learnt drawing skills under the tuition of the Dundee artist Vincent Rattray in the 1990s. Her work relates now to the poetry and science of animal husbandry.
